Wahnsinnig sch\u00f6ne Sonnenaufgangsstimmung, mit Nebel. Viele Gl\u00e4ubige badeten um diese Zeit. Nur wenige Scheiterhaufen, aber jede Menge Abw\u00e4sser und totes Getier -&gt; 100m weiter trinkende Menschen. Als die Sonne richtig raus war wimmelte es von Touristen. Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck, bezahlt und zum Bahnhof. Das schlimmste Chaos was wir bis dahin hatten. Wie durch h\u00f6here F\u00fchrung den richtigen Zug + Abteil gefunden. Erst f\u00fcr 4 Std. alleine (mit Ausnahme des gaffenden Schaffners), dann 4 Inder, naja. Als die endlich weg waren, kamen 2 dicke r\u00fclpsende widerw\u00e4rtige Andere. Zuerst die intensiven Preisverhandlungen, wobei beiden Seiten klar war, dass das zu handelnde Gut durch Zeitablauf wertlos werden w\u00fcrde. Dann ging es los. Erst bei eintretender Helligkeit wurde die heilige Stimmung durch die Realit\u00e4t ersetzt. Der Fluss, v\u00f6llig verdreckt, das Boot undicht. Wir hatten Sorge unversehrt ans Ufer zur\u00fcck zu gelangen, aber es klappte. Ein Bekannter in Deutschland, den wir sp\u00e4ter im Jahr kennen lernten, fuhr regelm\u00e4\u00dfig nach Indien und brachte stets heiliges Gangeswasser mit zur\u00fcck. Dieses wurde einer Medizin gleich schl\u00fcckchenweise bei allerlei Erkrankungen genommen. Einmal als Anne ziemlich krank war, wollte er seinen Schatz mit ihr teilen. Anne lehnte dankend ab, die Erinnerung an dieses Wasser brachte in ihr den Gedanken nach oben, &#8222;wenn ich das trinke, sterbe ich&#8220;.<\/p><p>Die etwa 800 km weite Fahrt dauerte, wenn ich mich richtig erinnerte 18 Stunden. Den Vorteil eines vern\u00fcnftigen Sitz- bzw. Schlafplatzes in der 1. Klasse, erkaufte man sich mit der Begleitung arroganter reicher Inder, deren Benehmen \u00e4u\u00dferst gew\u00f6hnungsbed\u00fcrftig war. Bei einer Fahrt stellten wir fest, dass der entsprechende Fahrgast einen Diener dabei hatte, der nat\u00fcrlich am anderen Ende des Zuges in der billigsten Kasse fuhr. Bei jedem Halt kam der am Zug entlang gerannt und musste dann allerlei Erledigungen (Essen, Getr\u00e4nke, frische Kleidung usw.) erledigen. Nat\u00fcrlich getrieben von der Sorge den Zug zu verpassen, bzw. seiner Herrschaft Habseligkeiten verlustig zu gehen.<\/p><p>Die Fotos zeigen oben den morgendlichen Fluss, vor und nach dem wunderbaren Sonnenaufgang. Die unteren Bilder die Ghats und eine Situation am Bahnhof, sowie Bilder von unterwegs (bei denen ich nicht sagen wann und wo sie aufgenommen wurden). Die beiden Bahnhofsbilder \u00fcberlappen sich, in der einen Ecke. Die Arbeit der Frauen bestand darin, die restlichen Kohlest\u00fcckchen aus dem Gleisbett zu sammeln, w\u00e4hrend die M\u00e4nner auf dem Bahnsteig offensichtlich der K\u00f6rperpflege nachgingen.
