Zu fr\u00fch am Bahnhof gewesen. Der Zug war schon etwas unbequem. Plastiksitze. Sp\u00e4ter geschlafen.<\/em><\/p><p>Der Zug fuhr \u00fcbernacht, die Strecke betr\u00e4gt etwas mehr als 600km. Insgesamt galt der S\u00fcden Thailands als nicht sehr sicher. Zum einen, weil im benachbarten Birma (heute Myanmar) undurchsichtige Zust\u00e4nde herrschten (obwohl der Reisef\u00fchrer beschrieb, wie man per Flugzeug f\u00fcr wenige Tage einreisen k\u00f6nne), andererseits aber durch muslimische Terroristen, die aus Malaysia einsickerten, bzw. muslimische Teile der Bev\u00f6lkerung, die separatistische Aktivit\u00e4ten entfalteten. F\u00fcr die Fahrt mit dem Zug ging es nahe (minimale Distanz 10km) an der Burmesischen Grenze entlang und wir waren etwas angespannt.
